Does anyone have the program/capability to convert two vector images to TTF? Actually the two images are composed of over 20 separate loops but I am attempting to "fool" the Xara 3D program into accepting the images as text and I'm thinking it will need to be grouped as two objects to do that if it's possible. I will show the results If I can pull it off. If anyone has the time, let me know and I'll email the two graphics Thanks!

It worked. Xara 3D allowed me to place the vector images of the word and "gears" onto the face of the "sign blank" only in TTF form. Unfortunately, I forgot to bring the vector file of the "sign blank" home and substituted a circle for the experiment until I can get back to the shop. Going in for gallbladder surgery tomorrow so that will have to wait. Thanks for the help, Russ!

Feeling much better, except a sore throat where they shoved a tube down it. I went by the shop on the way home and got the 'sign blank: file. Was unable to put the 'gilded' inline border on it with the Xara software and 'sandblasted background' is flat.
The flash movie needs some more tweaking on the size, lighting and rotation speed. How fast does it load for you?
are you going to make the gears rotate?? that would be sweet!!
also, what if the last S were still appearing lowercase, but somehow, through a gradual height acrosss the width of the whole word... maybe the last S could somehow be made to match up exactly with the first S? I realize a backwards S is never going to match, back to back, with a forward S, but with that black outline, you could get closer...
of course at the size it's displaying now, that isn't really worth what I assume would be a lot of trouble... but just throwing ideas out for fun...

Thanks, The gears can be made to rotate but I haven't found a way to make them mesh and rotate in opposite directions. It can be reversed on one side a nd the 's' will match up. But it will read backwards for half the cycle. So the program has some limitiations.
