I have a 24" Roland Camm 1 plotter that I have used consistantly for around 10 years...lately it has been acting funny. When it moves left to right during the set-up, before it gets to its origin point , it sticks. Is this something I can fix ?

is that one with the lock lever on the left? it will sometimes get out wack withthe micro switch in side. you have to take of the end cap to see this.

I had an old roland that had the same problem and I wired a micro toggle switch into the circuit and it solved the problem joe describes when the original switch wouldn't adjust properly anymore
It was just a matter of cutting the two wires that went to the old micro switch and soldering them to a new micro toggle switch to complete the circuit. in the end I had an extra toggle switch sticking out of the side plastic housing that I had to flip along with the tension wheel lever to reset the menu on the panel for the plotter
