A few days ago my Flexi decided to remove all fill- both in drawing forms and letters. I changed the fill manually on the off page space and it wouldn't fix it. I then set the defaults back to beginning and it didn't change it. Any ideas? Give me back my regular Flexi! Jer/Artworx

Hmm.... wonder if it's a bug in the program.

Way way back in the 90s (olden days), I bought the new Flexi Pro - up graded plotter, etc... Have spent waaaay too much on technology in the years. The new version was totally screwed. It was chopping vinyl and cutting all over. Was a DISASTER. Wasted vinyl.

They wouldn't give me my money back or even compensate for my vinyl. They said I could join the beta program. What a huge pia and I got about 10-15 new versions of the program sent to me before it started to work right.

They released that Pro version too early. I was so upset. Used to email my Dad and say I need a CRASH HELMET to run my flexi sign program.

There have been so many challenges in this business from programs to products. Not to mention customers. But, we'd be lost without all of this fun stuff right?!! [Wink] It's really true,.... I tried several jobs and thought about a new career. What a year. So happy to love my shop again! Even if it's just a small thing. I love my freedom.

Good Luck! Definately call them.

Flexi 6 was a complete change in the program as they went from 16 bit to 32 bit and totally redesigned the interface. I had the same problem as Diane when I went from FlexiSign Pro 5.8 to 6 and was offered the same solution. For me, the beta experience was useful. I got many upgrades for free, had an inside track on support, and a suggestion or two of mine are now in the product, which doesn't mean others weren't asking for the same things. Although they haven't had me test recently, I still harp on a few features with them that I think the program needs.

You're right Dave. I just had to use the old program for cutting vinyl while they fixed the bugs. Boy that was a while ago.

I never knew that Scanvec has a program for the routers now. I just got off the phone with my supplier and he said I can just email him Flexi Files and they can use them to rout signs for me. Gotta stay with the times and routing is quicker than hand carving. I don't want to give that part up. I loved carving days.

Perhaps I was not specific enough on my problem. I am running 8.5 and have used it for, oh, i'm not sure..maybe 5 years without problem. I have noticed that if I create an outline around (A zero.zero outline)There is a box on that menu that asks for wireframe or solid. It is always (now) set on wireframe and when i set it on solid, the problem is not there. I reset the preferences to default and it still behaves this way. Everything else works fine. ??? Maybe you'll have to re install the program. I know when you click show fills the wire frame comes up; click it again & it's solid. There are a lot of things that baffle me about this program.
I have an older version of Flexi Sign. Shouldn't I be able to transfer files from 8.5 Flexi Pro to it? Won't do it.

Lynda, flexi is like most programs and is no backwards compatible. A file created in 8.0 won't open in 7.0. Workaround would be to export files in 8.0 in say .ai format and then import them into the older version
