My contract expires with my credit card processor soon. Some have been using the square mobile cc application. What is your experience with it? How quickly are your funds deposited? Are there any cautions? I appreciate your input.

I got square when I cancelled my cc service. Fee is taken right at the point of sale, and it takes about two days to get money.
No hiccups yet but it is awkward for me to have them sign my Ipad.
I like the fact of no hidden fees and bogus charges (interchange rate). Ideally I would like a software based system with a usb swiper on my desktop. With that you can log in , see account, print etc. Then again you have monthly and other fees again.

I have mine and so far everything is working great... just go to Square's website and register, they will send you out the little device and you are good to go

I have used SquareUp with no issues. However, if you use Quickbooks, you can get their version for free as well and it imports into Quickbooks eliminating accounting headaches!
I use it with an iPhone but I believe it works with Androids and Blackberry as well.
Just FYI...

Dave, Do you have a stylus for them to use for signing?

When the stylus was working (hard to believe) they signed with that. The last few were with finger. I am ordering a few cheap ones for this purpose alone.

I got one and have only needed it once. But it was seamless. I like the Quickbooks idea. I'll check into that one for sure. I got and Android, but it does work on an iPhone too. It was the whole reason why I got a smartphone...so I could get a square. It's very cool. My client paid $2000 and signed with his finger and thought it was cool. I thought it was FABULOUS! He wouldn't have bought my artwork without it.

I signed up. I did so few credit cards the last couple years, I cancelled my service last year to quit wasting money on a monthly fee for nothing. The rates on square are a bit high, but with no monthly fee, it should work out pretty good for me.
