In most ways you lost her 2 years ago when she no longer knew who you were. It's still tough though when you can no longer visit. Best wishes for you and your family. May she rest in peace.

So sorry Diane. My mom passed away 7 years ago....after about a 5 year bout with Alzhiemers. It is a horrible disease....you almost watch them die twice. My heart goes out to you....but know she is in a perfect place free of the disease. Thinking of you.

Sorry to hear that Diane. It's hard to lose someone like that, especially when the first loss is to dementia. I lost mine over seventeen years ago and not a day goes by that I don't still think of her and all the things she taught her five children. Mom is always Mom.

She went out in a flair. She was having her nails sone, and aroma therapy and nice mood music, fell asleep and didn't wake up. Funeral is Tuesday, because of holiday weekend. Thank you evwryone for your thoughts and prayers.

Sorry for your loss. I know that one too. My mom took her final breath last week also. I hope you pass through the mourning stages smoothly and mom's affairs are orderly enough for you to remain on track.

My girlfriends grandmother had had to go into a home for her dementia. We love her grandparents. So hard to watch. She's making progress in the home. Has joined a couple game group activities and went out for ice cream yesterday. I cry just thinking about the sad disease. Poor Anna struggles so hard.
I lost my mom to a tradgedy 7 years ago. I had many emotions of grieving. I miss her but do finally just find comfort in the good memories and I try to honor her with good morals, etc... and all the good she taught. I feel extremely close to her in my garden.
She's you're #1 Angel.
