Thanks y'all. It was the best birthday ever - Peggy was working a trip to Paris and I tagged along for a whirlwind tour. She even let me wear this ridiculous blue beret, in spite of the fact nobody in Paris actually wears one. So much for my pre-conceived Pepe LePew notions.
For an old broke signpainter, I'm the luckiest SOB in Letterville - merci beaucoup, Delta Airlines.......

My birthday wishes cannot compare to the Eiffel Tower, but here's wishing you the best anyway. It looks like you gilded that tower... You are one lucky dude.

Sonny! How a Southern boy can totally rock a French beret is beyond me, but I sure am glad you had such a cool birthday. Gem of a wife you have there, too. Love....Jill

Ok, so we made the trip to Atlanta this week & decided that since Sonny lives a half hour from mid-town that it would make sense to pay him & Peggy a visit. Last night Andy & I sat on their lovely veranda sipping Sch'Wheat beer... & he did mention their trip to Paris last week, but not once did he tell us it was his birthday!!! Well Happy Birthday Man!!! I wish we would have known that cause we would have celebrated proper. Thanks for you awesome hospitality! It was great seeing you both! Peggy's off to Dublin today & Sonny's holding down the fort working his tail off. It wasn't exactly a BD party but many happy returns... if we don't see you before, we'll see you in Arcola!
