I've seen and started threads like this in other forums. Just a place where you can post about the stuff you did that day that may not quite be "New topic worthy". It could be small detail in a larger project, a simple belt line stripe on a customers car, a vinyl graphic applied to a window or a HUGE install or project completion. Something to keep everyone involved, inspired, sane or just someplace to post the days achievements. Not everything can be history book worthy.

Aside from making and editing my very first time lapse video (and understanding how my webcam works through trial and error) I was able to find a break in the weather to do a pretty big window perf. install in Castle Rock for Go Wireless.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XzEFJdmSMzY&feature=youtu.be

The video is a bit crude and the footage is a bit short (laptop battery was dieing) but it gets the point across.

I did something I have't done for a long time. I set up and screened 50 posters two colours. I printed a bunch of Edge printed decals for another sign co. I imported several customer files, to get ready for routering. Went to the bank, picked up some printed corplast signs, did a survey, picked up some OBS board. That's about it. Tomorrow will be totally different I'm sure, but I enjoy the variety.

We lettered a Pick up for a contractor, a $475.00 Job, we did about $500 worth of decals and corex signs, and we printed 8 full color Photographic 4x8ft Banners and 2 8ftx12ft Full color banners, worth close to $4000, and also a lot of designing... all digital printing...over 5 grand for one day.... not bad... wish it was like this everyday.lol but hey we are as busy as can be... and more work coming in the door... Hope this start to the year keeps up... now today we have a Snow Storm on the go... that will slow things down.

Taking advantage of the warm weather this week to do some "wait til spring" jobs. Today I drove 45 minutes to letter a drilling rig - customer sent me to the wrong rig. So I went another 5 miles to finally meet a customer. We talk, she's a facebook friend, we chat on there but today I finally walked into her office & met her face to face. While I was there she gave me a shirt & ordered another $500 of decals.

Thursday is a 4 hour round-trip to deliver 2 signs & put 2 logos on the correct drilling rig at the location it's on & hoping to finish up the new one that sitting in the customer's yard when I get back to town.

Friday I'm hoping to get done the work that was already planned for this week before my Tuesday & Wednesday (and now Thursday) were changed to squeeze in drilling rigs.

January is usually reallllly slow & when I set my monthly sales goals for the year, I was a little optimistic setting it at more than I've ever done in a January. By time I leave Friday, my month-to-date invoices should be past that number. I don't think I've ever been in "crunch mode" in January before but I sure am now!

Just finished a complete marketing project for a young musician who just recorded in Nashville- the project included a complete brand identity, logo design, CD design, poster design, event banner, web design, etc. today I finished having the business cards printed and picked them up from the printer. The day before, I went to one of her concerts and filmed her, edited the video and uploaded to her site... I love being able to do ALL the design and creative stuff on projects like that...

Just got the go-ahead on a van lettering job for a nearby Christian teen outreach center.
Beginning setup and layout for cutout PVC lettering and logos for a 60 foot wall job. This'll take awhile.
Finished repainting an existing sign. Customer didn't like how it was done ( I think it was given to her) Now we have to install it.
And, I've got to repair the broken lid on our popcorn popper today, or no party-time tonite...

Taking a few hours out today to work on our website.

The computer to our imagesetter is out for repair which means our screen printing operation is temporarily down with a couple exceptions.

Should be finishing up screen printing a couple hundred hats later today.

Quoting on a series of lighted signs for a small restaurant chain. The client is ready to go as soon as I have all of the numbers together.

Getting inspired, moving from a small apartment to a house, where it will be better suited for me, and..moving my sign supplies,
hoping to start back into business after 5 years of back recovery and it will be slow.

This morning went to one of my three granddaughter's bb games, they lost by one point (I admire their enthusiasm and fast coordinated teamwork!), picked up computer glasses, shopped for jalpeno peppers and stuff at the mexican market, visiting family, washed the ice off my car, hmmmm, back to work!

Just to be "on topic", I'll be visiting friends in Chelem, MX on Monday to take pics and measurements of a wall they want to paint a mural on. I'll bring the pics into CorelDraw and have them look over my shoulder and then tell me what their ideas are. Print out a scaled copy that they can use to do the actual painting themselves. No pay involved....But no deadline and no pressure either. Just assisting friends.

Today we did our monthly commitment here and bought, loaded, unloaded and bagged up "food bank" dispensas for 80 poor local families.

Tomorrow we will be handing out the bags of food staples.

Tuesday we head over to Isla Mujeres for a "mini-vacation" for a week.

Busy busy busy!!! [Smile]

Loving life in Mexico.
