Iam trying to print some pics and apply to foam board. I want to achieve as close to a Matte Photo Finish as possible? Whats The best way to do this? The pictures are gonna be hung inside... Just print on matte vinyl and apply to foam board? We have matte photo paper so we could use some type of adhesive and apply to foamboard?

Henry you can dry mount the prints on gatorfoam, some suppliers carry the board with the adhesive already on there.. you just remove the backing on the board and apply the photo. Also you can buy a flattening spray in a spray Bomb, easy as Pie.

Yes spray adhesive works great as well, just be careful if it's paper maybe just coat one side, the Flattening spray can be bought at most Photography places, made by Robertson? I believe thats the name...

Hiya Henry, Check out Harborsales.net for the adhesive backed gatorfoam. You can use a matte finish laminate or, as Neil suggested, a matte finish spray bomb available from a hardware or arts and crafts store. I used Krylon matte finish spray in the past for pictures on a tv studio set and it worked quite well. As usual, always test first.

You can also get a photo laminate that is a thin two sided adhesive paper that works well. An art supply store should have a number of different matt finish clear coats if you wish to protect the pictures and make them more durable.
