Very interesting and educational, but the old time sign painters were using most of these before they were put into typeface for printing.

Thanks, Pat. We rented that documentary, "Helvetica" a few years ago. It made the point that we are influenced by styles
more than you'd think.

Agree with you on that, David. Most every western writing I've ever seen, had Playbill, or some derivation of it.
