I remember the artwork he had done on some water tanks. Another very talented gone. Our bodies are so frail, we want to keep on forever, but we can't in this life. Adios Bushie.

Im disappointed to hear of Jons passing. What pains me most is that I never got the chance to meet Jon in person. His work was an inspiration to many of us. His conversation online was always fun. I always wanted to go down under to spend some time working side by side with Jon learning all that he offered. I can only hope that when the day comes for me to move on, that I get to spend that time I always hoped to with Jon and many other people who I didnt get to meet in person, but became friends with because of Letterville. RIP Mate.

I spoke to Sue thisarvo, she wanted to make sure that Jon's letterhead friends had been informed. I told her about this post. Thanks Curtis. Jon's family were with him at the time.

I never got to meet Jon but was hoping to. He called me a few times a year or so back when I was going through all my health problems and I truly appreciated it.
He also invited me to be the Texas representative of the Hardly Normal Sign Company. With stiff competition from Chapman, I made the cut. Raymond was probably napping when the call came for him.

A bummer. I didnt know him in person, but I liked him a lot, going on his cheery face and his presence on this form. I'd always get a lift when I came across one of his postings, even before I read what he had to say.

Oh my, what a loss for us all. I spent many nights sitting on chat with Jon and Si and Curtis, Boone, etc many years back. He was always sweet, loving and kind to me. He will be missed.
I'm sure he's up there with Rick G, my father and the rest of the Letterheads who've changed planes.

I met Jon and Sue at Dan's and had the pleasure of working along side them both on some fun projects. Jon shared some wonderful advice which I was so thankful for. I'll be thinking of those fond memories.

Sad news indeed. I enjoyed Jon's company at the 2007 Letterheads meet here in Auckland and have one of his panels showing the heat-gun marble effect and aboriginal art.

If you could ever call a funeral 'nice', then Bushie's was nice. Chris, his brother, Ian, his son, and Vikki, his daughter spoke really well about Jon, in a celebration of his life. It was attended by about 35 friends and relatives, including 11 signwriters who knew him-mostly locals, plus Kel Lawton & Dave Fisher who drove up from Brisbane. Inside the coffin. he is holding a dagger lining brush, Vikki informed us all! RIP Jon.

I hated to read this. Jon was one of those people you didnt have to meet to know he was a great person, and he was an invaluable source of info concerning signmaking. The world is definitely worse off without Bushie. God bless him and his family.

I'm a bit late just finding out now about Bushie. Bushie was a very unique person, full of talent and ambition. He was so much in love with his family. That is what touched me and he went out of his way to make me feel special when I showed up at the meet in Jondaryn, along with all the other wonderful Aussies and friends, such as Dave Drane and Liddy, Ian and Joan and Kel and Diane which I was so lucky to be taken into their folds, shown around Australia in their personal lives and homes.
Bushie had so much fun showing everyone how to paint wet on wet with his heat guns and I've seen a lot of his work and admired, plus chat online when I was on mirc. May your family have peace and comfort in these hard times, Sue, Vicki, Ian and your son...
My heart is sad today, may you have a wonderful life in heaven painting stripes and swirls in the atmosphere. May you live forever within our hearts and souls.
