I have a job coming up that will be a 14' oval made from two 4x8 sheets of Alumacor.
I think I will put some pins in the ends of the flutes to keep the panels in line. Also want to use a french cleat type of hanger, using two 12ft 2x4's and this will also hold the panels together. (one about 10" from the top, the other a 10" from the bottom) What's the best way to attach the 2x4's and hide the bolts/screws in the front of the sign? Adhesive and try to hide a few screws?

Hiya Tony, What is it being mounted to? If the mounting surface isn't too irregular, I would use the KingClips as Glenn Suggested. And, I would pre-assemble the panels, assuming you can transport the sign to the site in one piece.

Yes, I want to pre-assemble and install in one piece. Using alumacorr it shouldn't be too heavy, and a french cleat should make the install much easier.
The sign will be mounted to picket frame on a roof, which is being done by a contractor. The pickets will be secured to 2x6 framework around the edge, so until it's done, I'm not sure how "flat" the picket background will be.
There are two steel angle brackets bolted to the roof, and I want to secure the cleat to those brackets with carriage bolts. Also maybe a couple here and there to the pickets.
I like the kingclip idea, but I was thinking the 2x4's will stand the sign off a bit.
One end of the sign gets a dibond rose attached, so it would be easy enough to hide a couple bolts. The other end I may just have to hide the bolts heads with paint.

I would substitute the 2x4 for a 2" aluminum angle and attach with the 406/19 then attach another angle to the wall and throw in screws from the top and bottom. I do that all the time with Dibond panels and the Lords is very reliable, although not cheap. Make sure you read the directions, scuff the surface and clean and squirt about a nozzle full of epoxy out before starting - that first squeeze does not mix well and will never cure. You will rip the skin from Dibond before the Lords gives up.
