Submit your question to their "Ask Louie" forum ( there is a button you have to click ) and they indicate that they'll get back to you within a couple of days. Apparently their historians need that amount of time to research your question.
Hope this will help satisfy your curiousity.

They will deny it. I emailed them back in early 90s when i saw the paint starting to fail. They denied it then and I even placed a call.
Then when their clear failed they said they couldn't help me because they don't know if I properly prepped. I am disgusted with large companys that, instead of helping and coming out with facts, are into the blame game

One Shot's customer service end of things hasn't been worth a crap since Frank Manning left! I had some problems with fading a number of years back and the treatment I got from them was inexcusable Bruce, not all big companies fall into the same realm. I've been using House of Kolor urethanes for about ten years now. I have never had anything but good treatment from them. It might take a little bit of redirection until you get a tech but they are very helpful. If you get a bad batch of paint, they send you a new can at no charge. They also like your feedback. They also listen! There were some ongoing issues with a few colors that they have worked out to just about everyone's satisfaction! I've heard from a number of stripers out on the rally circuit that O.S. is having some problems adhesion wise. They lost me years back with the instantaneous fading and the terrible customer support.

Does anyone know anybody in China who might know if lead based sign enamels are still in use there? I heard five years ago that they had some shellacs (or at least that is what they were called - cut with alcohol). Surely this anti lead thing is not prevalent all over the globe, since the lead additives really did serve a purpose. I cannot imagine that China, India, Indonesia or Russia would all have fallen to the anti-lead movement.
Another point is that I wonder if the US military still uses lead in their specialty paints? I cannot imagine the Navy would scrap it, if it really held up better, just so no one would eat it and go crazy. Battle ships are expensive to repaint and especially all of the interior signage. Any ideas?

Lead paint or lead-based paint (LBP) is paint containing lead, a heavy metal, that is used as pigment, with lead(II) chromate (PbCrO4, "chrome yellow") and lead(II) carbonate(PbCO3, "white lead") being the most common. Lead is also added to paint to speed drying, increase durability, retain a fresh appearance, and resist moisture that causes corrosion. However it is one of the major health and environmental issues with paint. In some countries lead continues to be added to paint intended for domestic use [1] whereas in others regulation exists that prohibits this, though lead paint may still be found in older properties painted prior to the introduction of such regulation e.g. in the U.S. and the U.K. and Australia. Although lead has been banned in household paint since 1978, traffic paint still may contain lead. Alternatives such as water-based, lead-free traffic paint are readily available. Many states and federal agencies have changed their purchasing contracts to specify lead-free traffic marking paint.

I believe it was September 2004 that they stopped using lead altogether. It was phased out over several years, depending on the colour.
They lost me right after that, although removal of the lead wasn't the only culprit. They made so many changes to the formula, probably to meet EPA regulations, that it faded out in months. Signs I painted before 2000 still look great ...... signs I painted in 2005 lasted until 2006.
Since then, I've referred to it as 2-shot & switched almost entirely to Porter.

Another good company for products AND customer service is Ronan. I had a long conversation with Dennis yesterday about their Aqua-Cote. BTW, I tested it on vinyl and it works great. He said they developed it for use on vinyl banners, but Mike Meyer and I used it on painted concrete walls (white on dark colors) and it covered in one coat - you could even use it with quills and flats. Bill Diaz posted recently about their Aquathane clears and I'm a big fan of their AquaLeaf paints.
There are still some good companies out there taking care of us.......

Informative on many 1-Shot subjects yet we all have our differences...
1-Shot has now changed their #6000 reducer to Chrom-A-Flo, wonder why
Now for the kicker, some years back I made a big stink in regards to lead paint and pigments and as of today, there is no lead or pigments just dyes and whatever.. I am fortunate to have much Consumers 1-Shot, all leaded and if everyone was on top of things like many of the ol'pinstripers were in the late 90's than these questions wouldn't be on this BB.
I always used either Chromatic or 1-Shot and House of Kolor urethane or all 3 for the same gig and have in the past written on my website which has been up since 96 its uses and how to formulate for a lasting finish and those who have gone there have gotten much of of it, if you hadn't been there than you're just another Johnny come lately..
Oh well

And for those of us who still have our little stash of lead paint, including myself, after you retire or die, make sure it goes to the right person. Another striper, signperson, or any perosn who really knows what a gift they have. Hopefully I will have used up every last drop before I drop.
