Our brilliant inventor dude Doug has been honored for his wild robot creation. In a group of very creative people from around the world this is a great honor! Congratulations Doug!

Thanks! It was a left turn considering the contest was to re-design a raygun. It was mostly an excuse to build the robot sample in the first place and a hope that it might get some notice...IT DID! I couldn't be more happy. The other ray guns were amazing and wonderfully built. Considering the competition was some of the best and most well known prop makers in the movie industry...it wasn't too bad for a sign guy from Illinois! Now I'm finishing up a new sign for the robot to hold with my own business name. It will sit out by the end of the drive and hopefully catch some passers by...not unlike the eye candy outside of Dan's shop.
