I just finished a 2 sided 4x4 painted mdo sign with tracking on both sides. I attached the acrylic tracking to the mdo with Dow Corning 732 (after hearing how great this silicone is). There is a very strong bond, enough that I can pick up the sign by the tracking itself. So the initial bond, I feel is very secure, but I am curious how this will hold up long term? Will the different expansion rates cause failure down the road or will the silicone make up for the difference?

I don't think you'll have much of a problem, Weston. That silicone is pretty good.
It should 'give' enough to compensate for any difference in expansion rates.
Just to allay any fears, you could get some tiny stainless steel or brass screws and put several across the center of each track (pre-drill the tracks first). Drill the holes a hair oversize, then put the screws in 'snug', so the tracks can move a tad if they need to.
