Is there anyone who can help me figure this out? Over four years now and I still can't get colors to come out correctly unless I export as a .jpg image. Then it is dead on. But you can't get cut lines from a .jpg image.

I have tried just about every setting imaginable exporting to PDF and EPS so I can get the cutlines. It's always off, sometimes majorly.

I have tried PMS charts, the VersaWorks Color system and who knows what else. Like I said, export as .jpg and it looks dead on, but wrong in exports I need for cut files.

I can also take files from another shop that were done in Flexi and they print dead on, but never from CorelDraw (X3). I can take those files created in Flexi and export from Corel and they are wrong again.

Am I missing something? Any advice greatly appreciated. I will call you on my dime.

Thanks so much.

Hi Amy,
Try exporting the image as jpeg without the cut line, then bring the jpeg back into corel, add the cut line, and print.

Or you can export the two separately, the jpg and the cut line, but when you send your cutline send a white image of your jpg with it. And when you print your jpg send to print including the crop marks, so when you cut over top it has cropmarks to read.

verify the settings for the jpg export...something like RGB set on by default and color correcting with a profile sRGB something
Make shure to use the same color settings while you publish to PDF . Those are found in the color tab of the pdf menu.
Safe those settings as a preset.

Hi Doug,

Tried to call you but I need to Skype most likely. My Cananda calls are 39 cents/minute.

Tony & Deri,

I did try to do the two seperate file exports but it never really comes out the same size no matter how I set the white area. It's a little off. Beats me!

Elaine,
I will look into that!

Thanks so far!
