My wife's Dad bought this car New at Courtesy Ford in Denver in 1969. We still have all the paperwork including window sticker for this car. So here is the beginning of the project.

I've always loved hot rods. I've been driving my first ever project for about a year now. Can't wait to start another one. There's a 69 mach 1 about ten miles from me but it's not for sale. Love it.

The real tresure is that 39 or 40 Ford Business Coupe sitting there next the the Mach. I bought a '40 Bus Cpe in 1967 for $175 that was in much better shape, but needed a motor and a complete interior. Sold it the next week for $250 to some kid in high school. Shoulda kept it!

Looks like you've got yourself a project there, Bill.........for sure.
Yeah, those were a good year for Mustangs; but they had there share of troubles, too.
I worked as a service advisor/shop foreman for a Ford dealer from '68 - '72, and most of those era Mustangs had lots of window alignment/leakage problems, as well as very poor rear visibility (esp. the '71-'72's).
Also, had lots of squeak/rattle problems.
'69 and '70 were also my favorite body style, though; you oughta try and find a "shaker" scoop, off one of the Cobra-Jets.....very cool. That's a 351 Windsor, Isn't it? Good! Lots of aftermarket goodies out there for them, both for performance and efficiency.

As inactive car nut, I am sending a picture of Me back when I had a life! 461" OLDS powered A/D home made chassis. 9.70 ET 148 MPH back in the day ( 1964 ) Interesting ride when brake handle came off in my hand on a run. Also built a B/D Chevy 333" that went 155 MPH in 9.42 back in 1969.
Hope picture loads OK as this is my first attempt.
