A body shop that sends me a lot of work had this surfboard that he wanted lettered for his office. Here are a few shots in progress. I was going for that 60's psychedelic look. I mixed the paint for the shade but I'm not sure if I like it. In some light it just dissappears.
I still need to pinstripe the perimeter and add some striping to the nose and tail. The least I can do for all the work he has sent me.

Great stuff! Could I suggest a fine/thin orange highlight under the lower & left sides of each shadow, sort-of as a glow-line shade.

Thanks for the tip Si. At some angle the shade jumps off at other angles it dissappears. I am going to darken it up some and then add the thin orange outline to the lower left of the shade as Ian suggested. Then I can do the striping in orange and imitation gold to pull it all together.
