Today the owners of the pub did a site inspection and loved the fireplace currently in progress.
The discussion turned to which piece we would hang over the mantle. Since the pub carries a strong British theme we agreed a tongue in cheek tribute to the great white hunter of the Victorian age.
I suggested a head of some exotic animal over the fireplace - the owner asked for a wild boar. I heartily agreed and suggested an antique blunderbuss on the mantle below with a brass plaque telling the 'true' story of the epic hunt.
It is getting better all the time!

I'm amazed at your creative thinking coming up with these suggestions and the whimsical drawings and results, outstanding and sure is coming together well.
