Sad tidings I'm afraid... Andrew Roach of AMR Signs in Newcastle Nsw (Oz) passed away on the 22nd of May at the very young age of just 39yrs
Andrew was a wonderful bloke, a great Signie and in his heart forever and always a Letterhead, having been part of the team that restored the old Indian Root Pills Barn (lowercase letterhead meeting at Morpeth Nsw in 2000)
Andrew had just found out that he was to be a dad (for the first time) the week before he died and was planing a big year with, a marriage, a baby and a 40th birthday to celebrate
I know that the sign-making community will be sadden by Andrew's untimely loss, and that all who love this industry will take a moment to reflect on another 'brother of the brush's passing
Andrew is survived by his loving partner Mel and their new little 'someone' who will be a joyous gift for both their families
RIP Andrew until we meet again

Gail & Dave, this is very hard to accept, such a young man and his whole life ahead of him. How hard it must be for all he leaves behind. Bill

So sorry...words are hard to come by. That is such a great loss; please send our regards.
The world will muss such a young fellow, as I have children younger and older than him. What a tough thing that life hands us, please know we are supporting you and the family, just lean on us.

Thank you to all who offered kind regards and sincere condolences, I have passed them on to Mel. Devo and I first met Andrew in his early trade years. And as mentioned above, a few years later he participated in the Indian Root Pills resto we did back in 2000.
As the fates would have it 5 years ago he met and fell in love with our widowed daughter-in-law Mel. They worked hard to build the foundation of a life that always included the hope for a family of their own one day. Sadness tinged with joy is one of the great ironies.
I know their new little one (our 9th grand-baby) will bring strength and great happiness to all of us.
cheers gail
