Can I get some input on what you guys/gals charge to do the cut-out wooden signs of cheerleaders and such..I have a feeling they will not pay what i think the time, material cost is for such a project.

John, Are you selling to the school or individual parents? If it is for the school or team it will be difficult to get top dollar. However if you can sell just one to a parent the peer pressure factor may well work in your favor. It maybe worth your while to do one as a sample for someone who might be considered a "Jones" to be kept up with.

I have done two or three in the past, so i know how labor intensive they are...., but that was 10 years ago. On top of that there is a guy that does crap work in this area that doesnt charge much...I would think it would cost $300-$325 for a 4x4

My estimation about the cost is moot unless I saw what you were proposing. My shop rate needs to remain at $80 - $120 per hour.

Around here the people that make those are the same people that make stuff and sell it at the craft shows. Most of them are either retired, or they spend some time in the garage when they get off work.

Maybe you can hand them a silhouette on a paper pattern they can use to trace onto their own plywood and they can fill & ease the edges and then coat it themselves. Hopefully not on a windy day. Then you can do the talented part. It's nice to have your work cut out for you.
