I'm curious now. What exactly was your reason for persisting with the ALL CAPS in this new post after the comments that were made before? No vitriol intended, just trying to understand something.

dennis, you know anyone with Parkinson disease?(micheal j. fox) its very hard to hit the KEYS ON A KEYBOARD WHILE SHAKING!!!!!! using CAPS, makes it easier for that person to correct mis-strikes.

You may be able to find the best book ever done on VnDutch, THE ART OF VONDUTCH, by contacting Al Quattrocchi in L.A. The book sold for $50 new but if you can find one, its worth whatever you gotta pay. Al can be reached at www.theartofvondutch.com He's the owner of TORNAD0 DESIGN.You can also contact him through facebok. He's got a 'page' there. and tell him you talked to me about it

Just a thought... Since the "Flying Eye" is still in the hands of ownership to Bob Burns, why not have Original shirts made that the Daughters of "Dutch" could market at shows with a official autograph.
That's a keepsake I think...
And possibly a real draw and money maker!
Just a thought...

My dad had parkinson's and it was a really tough thing the last 3 years of his life;
I would be interested in taking some of the shirts to a pinhead meet, as they are a blast with the car shows, I always love the enthusiasm since my first one.
Bob, I wish you the best...
Sometimes I want to use caps because for some it is hard to switch back and forth on keystrokes, and another funny reason I found why I used to use them when online was because of the nature of signpainting I used all caps in the lettering quite a bit, maybe others have noticed how nice and legible a good strong consistent word shows when in all caps, no yelling, just getting it out there, ?

You all saw the story about NYC changing all their street signs from caps to lowercase? The NY Post story says:
"Studies have shown that it is harder to read all-caps signs."
I have my doubts about that. Poster artists have always been very concerned with fast legibility and they generally use all-caps.
"The new diminutive signs, which will also feature new reflective sheeting, may also reflect a kinder, gentler New York, she (Transportation Commissioner Janette Sadik-Khan) said. "On the Internet, writing in all caps means you are shouting," she said. "Our new signs can quiet down, as well."
Really silly girl. That "shouting" business is purely a convention adopted when email came along. NYC is not the Internet, it's the Big Apple and until Bloomberg got there, they knew how to do things.

Capital letters are easy to read if they are kept to a minimum, like in a sign, imagine if books were all capital letters, I don't know, that's my opinion.
