An unwarned 200kph Tornado has ripped through two shopping centers on the north shore of Auckland.
New Zealand is not known as tornado prone.
One death has been confirmed with many injured, several critical.
One of our own was there. Brian Fairchchild's daughter was in one of the shopping centers when the whole roof was ripped off and cars were flying around.
Fortunately she was not hurt, but terrified.
What is happening to the world's weather. earthquakes etc?

I makes you wonder about all the predictions on how it all is supposed to end in 2012. Bill

I think we view stuff like that from a very short viewpoint of history, like basing our current weather on patterns from the last 20 to 100 years- there have always been horrific conditions caused by things like the weather patterns or geological issues: tornados, hurricanes, cyclones, monsoons, floods, 100 year floods, earthquakes, volcanoes, mudslides, lightning storms, sand storms, fires, pestilence... even throughout our limited recorded history, these things come in varying degrees of destruction and affect all parts of the world.
I always think of the cartoon of the dinosaur holding a sign that reads: "the end is near!"
