I'm sure it's not gonna be that bad. If the ocean started doing that great big exit of water into the ocean, that would be a bad sign. I think most of the coasts are just gonna get a bunch of very big deep waves. The worst would be docked boats getting knocked around real bad.

Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers everyone! There was a very real possibility of significant flooding... More so than any other recent scares, and water pushing 1/3 of a mile inland is not a minor event entirely, though of course it is a non-event with respect to Japan. Flood waters of up to 6" in roadways covered half the distance from beach to my shop! I am on the lucky half
