Finally learned how to implement a little jQuery so far. Got a ways to go still until I get it nailed down.

Learned how to create my own "styles" and brushes in Photoshop.

And, I'm finally learning how to appreciate the new bifocals.

Ive learned:

1. no company is safe when we are going thru this chain of events we are now.

2. Ebay is going further downhill

3. any website with .gov at the end of it probably going to be chaotic to maneuver thru

4. my CPA is irreplaceable

5. NO is an awesome word and somehow comes out easier as you get older

After much experimenting I learned how to make paint CRAWL on other paint, for a really radical effect.

I FINALLY figured out how to build something from scratch. Trust me. This is BIG for me. [Smile]

http://funkyjunkinteriors.blogspot.com/2011/03/pallet-farm-table-desk-part-3-reveal.html

Have nearly bypassed what Photoshop Elements can offer. (also good news!)

I've also learned that hacking away at something you love can pay off, even though you have NO idea where it's going. It also helps to have friends that high five you along the way. (thanks Letterville!)

And like you Glenn, I've come to an understanding with my progressive glasses. We agree to disagree alot but they help me out if I sit and stare and don't look around too much. However all straight lines still look like frowns so all is not quite right with the world.

Now I have to learn how to use my SLR before tomorrow... [Razz]

What I've learned so far this year....

1.ALL choices have consequences.

2.When you have bad consequences, check your choices.

3.If it looks easy on a video...it will take YEARS for ME to make it be that easy!

I have learned the word "patience".

Living in Mexico MAKES you learn that.

Nothing happens "right now".

What should happen today or is promised for today always happens "mañana" OR some time in the future. [Big Grin]

After the last few years, I doubt I could keep clients happy. No rush jobs available, and that was one of the main reasons I was able to keep clients happy when I was in business.

Si..don't feel bad, this skinnier body can't do what it did 10 years ago either. And I hate to remember what I was able to do 20 years ago!!!! [Rolling On The Floor]

I've learned how precious and fragile life can be...

Everything you've learned and become in all those years can be taken away in an instant.

How great it is to be able to scratch your nose..
to button your shirt..
to tie your shoes..
to go for a walk....anywhere..
to put on a jacket...
to write a note...
to even hold a pen, marker, or brush..
to shake someone's hand, or give a good hug..
to weed vinyl & use scissors...
to shave (without slitting my throat)...
to drive a car...
to take life a little less seriously, but
be thankful for every breath...

and so many other simple, everyday things that we take for granted, most every single day of our lives...

I'm learning to paint with dry pastels.

I'm taking Life Drawing class at the local art museum.

I'm learning that I hate designing signs for
government institutions.

I'm learning to draw in SketchUp as well (great program).

I learned yesterday not to listen to my wife's directions when we're driving in California.
