The 1/2 time sucked! Just throwing more bodies onto the field does not make it wonderful!

So far it seems like a bunch of commercials with some football added!

Also ... did they rewrite the National Anthem? At least Roseanne got the words correct! Or ... is it now a R&B tune?

Whatever, Bushie... LOL!

Halftime show was an embarrassment.

This whole last week was an embarrassment for the city of Dallas. Between the snow and anthem and the show and ticket fiasco... LOL! Jerry Jones will have nightmares about this for a long time.

I watched the game with my 88 year old father and 94 year old step mother. She remarked during half time: "We must be of the wrong generation." I agreed. Of course, my daughter and grandchildren were singing along.

I wasnt offended by the show, the sound quality was crap! all the human on the field was cool from the sky shots when the people were lit up. Black Eyed Peas aint my fav but they dont discgust me like Christina beltin gout he anthem and dragging that on out with lout and long screeching.

The super bowl is another "overblown expectancy" of awesome commercials and the once in a lifetime haltime performances. Building up all that expectancy you just get disappointment

Although I'm a Steelers fan, I spent more time watching Kung Fu Panda than the game and/or the commercials.

I had no plans to watch the half time show and, judging by the sounds of things, I made the right decision.

I watch the Super Bowl for the commercials onyl. This year was a complete let down. And the Half time show? well made the commercials look AWESOME!

I missed the National Anthem flub. I mean really now, look at who they hired to sing it, The only reason she found the stadium was because someone else drove her there. [Smile] What do you expect?

"Auto-Tuning" -helping people who can't sing, sound like robots- since 1979...

I figured the Black Eyed Peas had their few minutes of fame a few years ago and were on some county fair circuit by now...

Now Keith Urban on the other hand, I watched a few minutes of his "tailgate" party before the show- It was pretty good! Of course he is an actual musician...

Thumbs down. The Black Eyed Peas were a let down. They don't sound very good live even when the microphones were working properly which wasn't often. Visually the halftime show graded a C+ at best. Audio wise D, and only Slash raised it from an F-.

Commercials: A few good ones. I saw 2 problems. 1) The best commercials were leaked before the Super Bowl so I knew what was coming. 2) At $3 million for 30 seconds, who has much money left to make a really great commercial?

Game: A+ (What do you expect from a Packers Fan?)

Honestly, even if Aquiilera didn't screw up our National Anthem, her performance was nauseatingly amateurish.

It was like watching one of the screw-offs auditioning for American Idol... trying to warble her voice from the highest high to the lowest low.

It sounded more like the horrid wails you would hear from someone who just had their foot run over by a garbage truck.

I'd give it an 'A' as a good impersonation of a Crow's mating call...and that's being generous. LOL

It sucked. All the glitz..just a substitute for real talent. Not to be racist; but way too much emphasis on "blackness.".. in the commercials too. Many of these so called "pop"singers (all colors) need to be educated by the producers of the show...there are published guidelines, governing HOW the Anthem is supposed to be sung....without any ethnic embellishments.

Not any of my favorite teams, but I thought the game was decent....

I can't believe they wasted all that jet fuel for a fly over, over a covered stadium.

I agree with one writer who said, why do all these national anthem singers have to take a one syllable word and stretch it into an entire paragraph. I, for once, would love to hear a good singer just sing the anthem as it was written.

The game was actually "Super" but the Karaeoke Half-Time show was a sham. No live band, too many people running around all lit up and people who can't sing without their special effects. It was so over-produced and excessive that it was hard to watch.

Sign-cerely, Steve

Thumbs at subterranean level.

Slash popped up through the stage and I found myself thinking "Oh goodie. They threw in someone for people over 30 to recognize." and he was gone just as fast as he showed up.
Anthem flub, seating issues, not so impressive commercials aside, the one thing that will stick with me...the constant references to Brett F, a player who wasn't getting any awards, or for that matter, even there. 16 mentions during the pre game show alone.

Too bad...the game itself was one of the better ones.

WELL, being FROM GREEN BAY, here is my (and generally EVERYONE HERE IN GREEN BAY's opinion of the game):

Pre-game show: Don't think anyone watched it...really! We had SO much local coverage every day and so many people were partying that I haven't heard of anyone watching it!

Commercials: Again, so much partying led to lots of potty breaks because we couldn't miss the game. Although, Bud commercial...epic fail. Elton John? Really? I did think Doritos was pushing back on the PC crowd and loved the commercials for that.

Football: 1st quarter and most of the first half GREAT! Third quarter? What the hell happened? Fourth quarter was just a nailbiter. Literally everyone I spoke to was EXHAUSTED from watching the game. From sheer panic and excitement to yelling at the TV...which is what was going on in our house!

Post game: Fireworks ALL OVER TOWN including those arranged by the City to go off at 10:45 PM that night. Downtown streets were closed and partiers (not looters like some Superbowl win towns) and bands out till after bar close.

Next day (Monday): 60% of the town did no go to work. Our school got a day off and the GB school system closed early so fans could greet the returning team on their parade route home from the airport to the stadium.

Tuesday: Celebration festivities continue at Lambeau Field, OUTSIDE, in 2 degree weather. 54,000 fans SOLD OUT Lambeau Field to celebrate the win.

Today, Wednesday: Superbowl High still continues throughout town...and will until season starts in July. (yes, our training camp counts as the season opener here.)

Love the character of our team this year. Very upstanding players (even though I still think they get paid too much and hate the extra tax to pay for the stadium) and am proud to finally say I am a football fan of the Green Bay Packers!!

The first time the Cowboys were in the Super Bowl (1970 season), there were no crimes or traffic accidents in Dallas during the entire game. I sure can't say that for the rest of the year.

You can REALLY tell when someone is from the U.P. though!!!! HAHAHAHAHAH Dave Sherby!
