I have to ask this- plenty of people here derive some inspiration from your great & creative work- but from where do you get your inspirations?

Thank you all. I'm a lucky guy to have it all. Friends and family both near and far.
I expected to wake up to a snowfall - but it is a prefect Yarrow winter day - gray and rainy with the snow line about 1000 feet higher on the mountain out my window.
As I work at my desk the router is singing in the back room. We'll be working on the bull's head sculpture today and I suspect there will be roast beef and fresh chocolate cake with way too many candles on it tonight. Phoebe will undoubtedly be singing the birthday song the loudest. It doesn't get better than that.
Thanks for the birthday wishes.

It's OK Si... I'm not that old. I am now in my late 40's. You know how when someone dies you refer to them as the 'late so and so'? Well... I now admit to being in my 'late' 40's.
When we put up a sign like that in Yarrow it will be highly dimensional and gilded too.

Platz. I had heard about all this great, wonderful stuff and couldn't wait to try it out.
Dan took a bunch of us down to the deli (only about half a block - they have LONG blocks in Canada) and we had a piece (slice?, plate full?, cup?...however they measure it) and I was ready for the explosion of flavor and the whoops and hollers.
Well...it was OK, but I guess it's "different strokes for different folks". Sorry, Dan, but I'll stick with Jeanne's fruit cobblers.
Actually, I think Dan gets a kick-back from the deli. And they talk funny, too.

Just a suggestion . . . and thanks, Ray for the setup, the next time someone from the bakery names a supposed-delicious dessert treat, my marketing brain says they might consider something more appealing than the sound it makes when it hits the floor . . .
I'm just sayin' . . .
I may well get a chance to judge for myself at some point soon, until then . . . impartiality for me.
Canad-eh . . . it's a good thing they're all so sweet and nice up there cuz things like this make my eyebrows go up . . .
