That's right,,not me. Yesterday I got a diagnsis of CLL, Chronic Lymphocitic Leukemia. The only reason why it came up was from a normal blood test. Otherwise I feel the same I did three days ago, four months ago, five years ago. I just wanted to get a complete physical. The good side is that a person can have this type of leukemia for many, many years before having to be treated for it. And of course, you may remember that my husband just got the "Completely Cured" from AML, Acute Myeloid Leukemia, after a bone marrow transplant. So that's it. If I ever start to feel weird, I'll let you-alls know. Until then, it's back to work, but not I used to. You can count on that!!!!

I know it's never okay to hear the words "Leukemia" and "chronic", but hopefully this may help ease your mind. My dad has this same Leukemia. He had his hip replaced 3 years ago, and they also found his Leukemia in a routine blood test. He now gets his blood tested every year, for any change in the leukemic blood cell count, and so far, absolutely no change - in 3 years. He feels exactly the same as he always has, and in fact just had his knee replaced a month ago, and feels great. I hope you can try not to worry about it (easier said than done), because stress is a instigator of negative health. If you start to think about the "L", go find your friends and have some fun. I'm glad to hear your hubby is doing well. Take care of yourself, and rely on your family and friends to keep your spirits up - let them be your medicine!

Yesterday, I told this body shop that I could not do a truck they had there for me to do. I don't want to do any little thing that make make things worst for me. Like working in a dust and flume filled truck body shop. So they said they'd bring the truck up to my place,,,75 miles north, one way. That made me sooo happy!

I found that when I work with some of the hotter solvents they show up in blood tests rather quickly. Learning to wear gloves and protective gear doesn't come easily.

Since I got this CLL leukemia diagnosis, I did a lttle reserch. Lots and lots of people have gotten some form of leukemia. I couldnt or havent found any link to working with automotive or solvent paints. Lots of regular people along with musicians, actors, sports figures, politians, high ranking people, preachers and even doctors getting some form of leukemia. A few of the famous that you may have heard of would be, Ed Bradly, Jill Clayburgh, George Rath, Spiro Agnew, Bill Walsh and Kareem Abdul Jabbar. Non are painters.

My brother in law goes for the blood tests 4 times a year. He is running two businesses. I have to keep asking him how his results were cause you would never know he has it at all. And he says he feels just the same. He was diagnosed when receiving treatment for a completely unrelated illness a couple of years ago. I guess its the type of thing that you have to take it for what it is as it is. Hopefully it continues to be dormant Alicia. This may never effect you, fingers crossed, so for the time being try not to be concerned. Add it to your list of things to think about only when you are heading for the vampire's lair. And then when you are out the other end, continue your wonderful life like it was a hiccup. Worry will weedle the wicked in.
