It always seems when you try to help someone out...it ends this way.
Like George said....1/8" sounds a little picky. Just make sure they are measuring the bottom flats of two letters, not a flat and a rounded. Rounded letters hang a little lower.

Ask them if they have heard the phrase "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth". Well, at least you know where you stand with them in the future and they get no more favors!

Many years ago I did a wall sign on a bar. Iit was 44 feet long ... when I finished, the owner complained that it was not level. I said it looks level to me ... he said the right side is low.
I said grab the end of this line level and we'll see. It was 1/4 inch low! I asked how he could see that ... he said that he just retired as a "curb and gutter" man.
A couple of strokes in the bottom of the first few letters on the left side and a couple of stroke on top of a few letters on the right end and he was happy!

I would tell them they can have that one for the 50% off that they agreed to, or they can have it redone for full price, plus the cost of removal - their choice.
My mind wanders. And that's not a good thing, 'cause it's too small to be out there alone. Posts: 3129 | From: Tooele, UT | Registered: Mar 2005
