.. as a sandable primer for Sign Foam these days??? I've been using a PPG catalyzed high build primer for a while, and while it works pretty well,I'm looking for something a little easier to work with, and that doesn't require everyone else to evacuate the shop while I'm spraying it on.
Anyone?

coastal enterprises just sent me a sample of their water based primer. Have not tried it yet but they say it dries sandable in 4 hours. They also sent a dvd of techniques how to use it.

That sample that Curtis got is what we use.

Coastal Enterprises FSC 88-WB

It is a high build water based primer/filler that dries quickly and can be sanded to a super smooth finish.

By going to their website you can see this beautiful young lady describe how to use it.

Now Kellie, for that promotion you can send me about 20 gallons and we'll call it even. [Smile]

I use the same as Ray.
And it sands much faster by wet-sanding.

Can this primer be used on other substrates??

I'd be willing to use acrylics, but they've always been a real booger to try and sand....
