Has anyone had to deal with this? We have been out of the office for a short time and returned to this situation with ..trojan horse patched on my computer. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Butler

Have you done a virus/malware scan yet? What kind of anti-virus programs are currently on your computer? Be careful of running any "fixes" you're not sure about.

Thanks Sonny. Done all that and had our computer man here and he is coming back tomorrow.It just doesn't want to leave!Give Peggy a hug from us. Suze

What alot of these damned variants of trojans do is infect your system restore files,...then everytime you install a program and or windows accesses your system restore files the restore system inside windows reinstates the damned bug,...first i would run a complete virus scan and heal any infected objects or files and send the infected ones into quarantine anxd then have your virus program delete them,...next step disable windows system restore and remove all system restore points and start anew without any system restore points,..,then after all is running fine again I would set a restore point for a time when you are sure your computer is working right so you eventually have a restore point info that is not infected,...most virus programs cannot access windows system restore point files so they see the virus but can't do anything with it as long as windows protects the restore point info.

It is answer just like that is why I will never ever get a MAC.
Susie, If yer techie cannot remove it in just a few minutes,, get a new tech.
First of all. It is likely a false alarm if you are using AVG.
However, I would scan with Malwarebytes as a start. Then delete all restore points by turning of system restore then turn it back on. Then scan with spybot search and destroy.
