Paul JOrdan and a bunch of 'Lettervillians' (or maybe Lettervillans!) are having fun at the Sydney Sign Show (called Visual Impact, more formally), and had a great day- met up with Bill Davidson & Peri Damouslos ()I hope I spelled that right). Peri's work is terrific when you see it in real life- much better than the really nice pictures on the bullboard here!
The rest of us are taking part in a 'Masterclass' demo of old signage skills for the three days.
All good fun.

It's great to meet Peri, he's an incredible craftsman with the router. Ian and his mates were fun to chat with, and are doing some great stuff with their "traditional sign method" demos. They have a "wailing" wall going. An alucobond panel 8' x 8' as if doing a wall dog job. They appear to be having a good time together. It was good to smell one shot again. I was tempted to put some up my nose to have that last a little longer, but realized it would be followed by thinners later on.
I attended the Australian sign awards last night, of 22 categories, one was for "traditional" methods. Could you believe there were "ties" for vehicle wrap awards!!!!!!!!!!! I just shake my old head! How can an award be given for "this is what I want done"! Is it an award for doing the work, or what?
