In order to make my acccount program to work I have to make Norton allow it to run. I find it hard to select the right options in Norton and wonder if anyone know how to stop it while I do my bookkeeping?

I agree with everyone about Norton. But you need to go to the Norton website to get the utility that can completely remove it.
Bought 2 new computers this summer..Both had the stupid "free trial" Norton stuff loaded. Both got Norton removed within the first 30 minutes.
AVG has served me well for the last 5 years.

It is becoming bloat ware. It ads in a avg/yahoo tool bar into your browsers. Even if you deny it ,, it may still install it. Its junk and causes too much pain.
Avast is becoming the geeks preferred choice

Curtis, You mention both Avira and Avast. Please give us your opinion on the difference.
