I've used them for 10 years,,,they are awesome for lettering on rough surfaces...like painted concrete block...the brush really track around curves, they are shorter hairs, and stiff enough to get the job done. I don't use them on smooth surfaces /trucks(just my preference, like a quill or red sable) I also have a set that i use with latex... hope this helps. but....i STILL can't paint like John H.

Do they get all droopy? That's what happens when I use gray squirrel flats with latex. Looking for a brush that won't do that.

Hi James, ya, hate the droop, uh, not my shorts... no, they don't droop...other non droopers are Mack water-based brushes(round ferrule, dk red handle) and Nocturna brushes, i will put up the series #'s tomorrow.

I've used these for One Shot and Ronan Aqua Cote and they work well in both. Mack does carry several waterbased brushes, and they don't droop. They are a mixture of synthetic and natural hair, so you get the best of both.

I use these for rougher surfaces as they are stiffer and get the job done as Jon said. They're also less expensive so I don't mind wrecking them a bit. But for my day to day lettering nothing beats those French Masters.

Brent, I have only the Mack line of brushes. I will check into the availability of French Masters. I have some and have used them in the past. Good brushes.
