Donna came over on her evening walk tonight and in about twenty seconds she set up her instant film studio and we were in business.
After a little frustration with my deluxe tripod she decided to just wing it. In only three takes we had what we needed. A second shot was done of me assembling the LED modules just to show how easy it all is.
Then it was up to my studio for the editing and the sound dubbing. Once Donna calmed down (you know how excitable those film types are) I figured out how to work iMovie and I put together the clips, slowed things down to the appropriate speed and added a voice over describing the process. Just like that the first video is now posted. It will only get better from here...
Thanks for the help and the push Donna! Your royalty check is in the mail...

Dan I’m totally impressed by your work but even more impressed by your imagination and just wonder what makes your noggin tick. I’m sure it’s not those steaks Mr. Chapman enjoys!!!

Dan, please make more videos! I would love to see a project from start to finish including the LEDs being installed. I was looking at the little submarine and wondered if you could make the framework thicker to house some yellow individual LEDs sort of like running lights on a semi truck. It would probably work better on a larger scale object but would sure look slick!
Sign-cerely, Steve

I tell ya Raymond. It's astounding what a team can do with a point and shoot. And a shakey set of hands needing a few takes. (hands get camera shy too I guess)
