It looks like we are going to have a few pickers jamming. I would like to get some song sheets ready with chords for the guitarists to follow. I need your favorite songs that you like to play and what key they are in for the rest of the players who might not know it. This really helps so send me your requests.
I'd like to add any song that we can envolve the audience in.(providing we actually have anyone hanging around to listen to us!)
Walldog vocalists: Everyone is welcome to sing since this is not a "concert" type gig and we may not even have a PA system. This is strictly just for fun and laughs.
We need your song suggestions quickly. Time is flying by so respond here or you can email me at signmagic@sbcglobal.net. Thanks everyone and see you all in DANville.
Sign-cerely, Steve

Guys, remember this is unplugged and trying to pull off Pink Floyd, Dire Straits or Iron Butterfly may sound a bit thin! John Denver is more likely. We can try the other stuff, but we will have limited instrumentation.
I heard an acoustic version of "Signs" by the 5 man Electrical Band on MTV many years ago by the band Poison and they did a good job with it.
Other songs that might work: Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville, Barbara Ann by the Beach Boys, Sweet Home Alabama by Lynryrd Skynyrd, and stuff like that. If you want to tackle the other songs we can give it a try!
Keep the requests coming.

I think someone should seek out a local blues club that does open mic nights...
...any smart bar tender that hears about 100 out of town artists planning to spend long days in the hot sun, will want to make their bar the most desirable bar for cooling them artists off at sundown...
...so, putting an open mic together & inviting the walldogs is probably gonna be a million dollar idea in my book..
besides... I play "unplugged" all the time, but I've managed to go half deaf anyway... I sure would love to see an electric jamming opportunity come together...

"La Bamba" And that song that goes ' Son you're gonna drive me to drinking if ya don't stop driving that hot rod Lincoln. And of course, there's the acapella, "Mercedes Benz" done by Janis Joplin.

Doug, I'll Have my Wife Dig out an Extra Coffee maker. She has 3 or 4 I think.. Just for emergency's.. Knowing her Coffee Habit there is probably a Solar Powered one and a Fusion powered one with a 1/2 life of 1,000,000 years.
She just uses my 5 gal Igloo water cooler for her thermos. Which I will also be bringing.

Slayer unplugged....that should be a first for any unplugged group! I can see some are not taking this too seriously, but I'm sure we'll all have fun no matter what we end up playing!

If the murals are not getting done fast enough, just play fast music. If they are going too fast, slow down the music. I am probably the only one who would love to hear some Strauss waltzes. Bill
