Maple Creek Falls. Sounds beautiful doesn't it. Anyone travelling that stretch of the Trans Canada will have to stop and see.

A few years ago, there was an Olympic class pothole on one of the main roads here in Carrollton that was in existence long enough to apply for statehood. I emailed the city street department something like this:
"I'm sending this via Blackberry from the bottom of the pothole at _________. There's sixteen cars, three Winnebagos, and a DART bus down here. We're having a great time. Please do not fill it in. Let's put a fence around the hole, turn it into a state park, and charge admission. We can then use the revenue to fix up the roads in Carrollton."
I got an email back: "We loved your message. We'll fix it tomorrow." And they did.

Kelly, Alabama can run you a close second for potholes. After a really bad storm last year, there were three different places like this within 2 miles of my house...
Edited to add.... that picture was taken on December 31, 2009.... I still think I'd rather have a pile of red dirt in the road than mountains of snow....
