Nothing exciting here design-wise, but would like to see if I'm in the ballpark on some prices here...here's what I have.
I come up with $950 for the ENTIRE job - not sure how to break it down between signs though.
I laid-out the signs, cut the substrate, cut/rounded the corners, cut the vinyl (obviously) and applied to each sign. Customer is installing the sign panels.
Sign A - (1 Piece) 48" X 60" Poly-Metal with 4 colors vinyl as shown in the attachment.
Sign B - (2 Pieces) 18" X 28" Poly-Metal with 2 colors vinyl.
Sign C - (1 Piece) 15" X 48" Poly-Metal with 1 color vinyl.
Sign D - (1 Piece) 48" X48" Poly-Metal with 5 colors vinyl.
Questions
Is my overall price in the ballpark?
I figured 8 hrs labor at $65 hr.
Material costs - approx $285 ( Poly-Metal at $80 sheet X 2, plus 2 rolls of Cast Vinyl @ $60 roll, plus small amount of in-stock vinyl/transfer tape/ etc.
Curious what the price would/should be for each individual sign.
I have 'Estimate' software, but somethings 'wacked' as I'm getting error messages on the 'modules' and can't proceed?? Gotta figure this out, except it's the older version which I don't think they support any longer.
Thanks for your help.

Todd, vinyl letters on park signs like those, would frequently get bits removed by kids who'd like to make rude words out of the remnants etc.
I find an antigraffitti cover of tedlar or similar antigraffitti film is needed over the vinyl on that type of sign.
(P.S. how long is your 'roll' of cast vinyl for $60? Here I'd be lucky to get a roll of cast stuff for much under $400)

Hi Ian - I agree - weeding little letters is not fun. I bought a 24" X 10 yd roll of Oracal 751 Cast black, and a roll of same dimensions of Oracal Cardinal Red. About $58 each from Fellers.
Was enough to do all signs. I had some blue, green, and the small amount of light gray on-hand for the rest.
I called the customer and told him he might want to have the sign 'cleared.' He is considering that.
Next time Sonny :-)

That comes out to averaging about $20. per sq. ft. which is reasonable for weeding all that small copy. You probably could have cut that price in half by doing a digital printed sign. However, I believe vinyl looks better and lasts longer.

OK-thanks. A roll here is between 45 yards and 50 metres long, and half-a-roll is around the 22 metres +/- a bit. Anything less is just bought per lineal metre, with a surcharge, depending how few metres you'd like.
The only reason for vinyl over digital might be long-term durability. If it faces the morning or afternoon sun, I've seen some digital prints here fade back pretty badly after 4 years- admittedly it all depends on when they were done, and with which inks, etc etc.
We did some 6 or 7 park signs not unlike yours a few years ago, 4 x 5 ft, but I got an average of $800 each for them- quite a few colours & logos in a combination of paint & vinyl & antigraffitti laminate, and galv. frame & galvanised pipe posts included. It was a supply only job, not erected.
I did end up doing one digitally, but it was going to face south, and practically never saw the sun. Big profit in that face, of course!
The worst of them had screwdriver & pocket-knife attack marks about a year later on it from presumably idle teenagers, as well as indelible-ink pen writing all over it...(Thank goodness for the laminate!) & the rest have held up well.

One thing I didn't mention - this is the first time in years that I've purchased Oracal 751 Cast vinyl... (instead of Avery or 3M) and it was UNBELIEVABLE in a great way!
I literally was weeding 6 rows of 1" test all in one swoop/at the same time...and it weeded perfectly - no letters popped off at all....easy as butter. And the gloss and adhesion after installed was awesome.
I'll be buying morej of this. It literally weeds 3 times easier than 3M cast. I"m now an Oracal believer.

Price is a little more than I could have gotten, too many printers around here... I'd have probably been around $850 for that job. And you're right, Oracal 751 is GREAT STUFF!
