There was a discussion a couple of weeks ago on Truck wraps, some said they would never do one, others were afraid of them, and there others that would like to try them. Here's one we designed and installed just yesterday...See if you can guess what he sells.
The sides and the tailgate are completely wraped, the hood and above the side windows are not.
Cost around 2 grand.
Done on Arlons version of the comply by 3m.

Thanks, Jon you're sick, but I like you.lol
Glenn some of these can take a bit of time, 3,4 5 hours or more, this one was about 4 hours, give or take 5 minutes.
There's not a wrinkle, bubble, or Patch on this truck, it looks like it's been painted....
Also this is where Digital shines, If you had to paint this, then good luck, I could paint it, but it would never ever be exactly like this, no way... and after the lease it can be removed in just a couple of hours... this from someone who loves paint as well.

Looks good, Neil. How long did it take to apply?
The only 'criticism' I'd offer, is I think I'd like to see a bit more white around or in the main name in the logo-looking at the side picture the list of dot points near the back wheel stands out almost more thasn the Sheds Direct name does.
Good work though-nice use of fades.

Using alpha numeric in a phone number has been shown to be less effective. In some cases lots less effective. Especially for impulse purchases.
Many users will not decipher a phone number in that format when making an impulse call.
Users will not call that number if they are forced to decipher the alpha parts while driving either.
The alpha numeric numbers were used to the best advantage for TV ads or radio ads when someone had to call and the alpha parts were easier to remember.
Statistics show that adding the numbers is important for increased response..

Curtis, I could'nt agree more, sure Blackberrys and other electronics don't even have the right sequence corresponding with the Numbers, I pointed this out to him, but this is what He wanted... but.... I did the Phone number seperately with out him even knowing it, just in case he ever wanted to change it, it's the only part of the wrap that's applied over the laminate.lol Honestly it is and I did it for that very reason... when I delivered the truck, I told him that,,, just in case.. he just smiled and said... "Smart"...
I have been using Arlons Vinyl exclusively for over 11 years... from the 3 mil, wich I think is the best 3 mil on the planet to their Vehicle wrap product, and I will put it up against 3M's product any time any where... With 3M's you have to use an adhesion promoter in the creases, the glue is not aggressive enough, the ease of this stuff to apply is amazing.
It took the guys about 7 hours to apply this, probably a little long, but it's done right. Some of the competition Braggs about how fast they can do a wrap... but you should see them, panels not lined up right, patches put in, it's terrible... there is not one patch any where on this wrap.
Thanks for all the kind comments but this was posted to show that wraps can be a lot of fun to design and apply.

this is clean readble not trashy. there is no sense in wrapping all of a vehicle when this would do the job. cool

Terrific looking job Neil. I have a question re pricing though. The one area of digital I've stayed away from is the wrapping area. This is mainly due to the lo balling antics of some sign guys here. They are obviously using sub standard vinyls for the job so I don't get involved. Do you have much of that or are you finding prices holding up ok compared to say three years ago

Kevin it seems that's a problem everywhere you go, there's a company here that will do this Job for about 800 bux. but they do a terrible job most times, the more experienced shops try to get what the job is worth.. for the most part I don't do a lot of these, I refuse to work for nothing.
Thanks
