I have a common problem in Corel X3 where it keeps opening up another layer om me, and I don't know how to just keep it on one layer.
I am trying to add elements to a drawing I scanned in, and it seems like the element is on a different layer. I just can't seem to find where to get everything on one playing field.
I'm quite frustrated, and wonder how it ends up doing another layer to begin with, without me actually causing it to open one.

I have the same problem, and that was my solution ... I just wonder why it is designed to bring elements in on different layers? Probably a simple answer, I just never gave it any thought.

I think it brings things in on a new layer so as not to mess with existing layers.
