Had an great time at the Palmetto Pinstripe Meet. I bought a couple of brushes and got lessons from Zeke. I enjoyed getting to know Susan, Derry, and Carol, my Candian sisters and seeing Bobbie, Artie, Donald,Rodney,Sonny,Don Ekland and the rest of the gang. Enjoyed meeting all the new folks and pinstripers I had never meet. Of course Ryan kept us all entertained and left us wanting more !!Ryan did and awesome job pinstriping a Rambler. I'll post pictures later. Hopefuly others will post pictures too. There were many awesome pinstriper artists there and they made some great projects! We got home around 5PM Sunday. Hope everyone got home safely. Hoping to do a lot of practising and offer pinstriping to my trucking clients in the near future! Thanks for hosting this meet, Donald. Judy

I'm sorry I was only able to spend one day at the meet but had a great time catching up with old friends and meeting some new ones. A highlight of Letterhead events is seeing the fire get lit for someone attending their first meet - Mace Marx came all the way from the British Virgin Islands, wide-eyed and soaking up everything she could learn from the vast array of talent. Many of the supplies we take for granted were new to her, so she took notes on HDU, Alumacore, Signabond, paints, etc. and I even presented her with her first pounce wheel. She's a very talented artist and I think she left Donald's busting loose with a whole new arsenal. It was great meeting you Mace and welcome to Letterheads.......

It was an AWESOME meet! Donald's family were so gracious & his girls were especially fun to be around. They even dug into the striping!
I learned how to stripe scrolls, & thanks to Joe Buck's & Zeke's tips, & Ryan's prodding, I was able to stripe my mother's motorcycle helmet for her-which she loved!
Yes, Mace was fun to watch, she was so very excited to meet all of us, & see so mnay things new to her. And "Suzie B" (Sue Banasky) was a wonderful roomie, & neighbor to paint next to.
I do have to say that Rodney Early sure was the most funny, & fun to be around, for me, he kept me smiling through the whole weekend.
Thanks to all who gave me a panel, too, Joe, Rodney, Zeke, Don Ecklund's gift for me to finish, & John Parker's glass panel he let me do.
I will post pics, if I can here. I am dead tired, took me over 14 hours to drive home, had to stop & sleep a bit!

Just want to chime in here to say what a fantastic time I too had at Donald's. It was fun meeting new friends and great to see old ones. Many thanks to Donald, good work man. Hope you raised some funds for your cause while we were there. Kelly, it was a blast! I think coming home on our hairpin drive will be embedded in my mind for a long time! LOL East Coast Artie, Shotzy, Zeke all scholars in the craft, and gentlemen to boot (although they probably wouldn't say that about each other LOL) it was great meeting you and thank you helping me to learn a wee bit about your art. Although I think the advice "don't quit your day job" was probably the best advice of the weekend. LOL
Sue it was super to finally get a chance to chat with you after all these meets.
Bobbie, I hope you went to see your family physician-let me put it this way- we don't want to call you Stumpy from them having to take them off at the knees LOL

Finally a moment to say 'Thanks'. Donald, you did a great job as host. You and Alison have a wonderful family, three terrific kids, a great shop, great catering and you brought a whole lot of talent to one location.
As a greenhorn to pinstriping, I thank all the pinstriping Gurus for sharing their styles. Joe Buck, it was a pleasure to watch you up close,I am in awe of you. Zeke Lemanski, I beleive you are the fastest striper I've ever seen create such beauty.
John Parker I'm sure we will be discussing glass further. Roger Di Nofa, get out there and market your great talent. Artie Shilling, Don Eckland, Dan Danzenbaker, Rodney Earley (pie in the face was priceless), Kevin (you may be lucky to see your next birthday,ha ha), Ryan, Dwain, Shottz, Igor, etc....all beautiful work.
Judy Pate, Deri Russell and Kelly Hall, Mace McDowell and Bobbie Rochow, it was great to hang with you talented and fun ladies. Bobbie, you caught onto that scroll striping like wildfire. Great job on your Mum's helmet.
Sonny thanks for wearing the 2003 'Splash in the Pacific' T-shirt...it makes your eyes so blue and made me feel at home. Great to see you.
John and Bob sat quiety, painted and striped great panels...sorry I didn't get your last names, but it was a pleasure to meet you...eat healthy.
Tim Beam, your first meet, you fit right in, splashed some paint and 'beamed' with pride at your pink ribbon panel....great job.
To all the others there...nice to meet you, and hope to do it all again.
South Carolina is a gorgeous state. Elegant buildings, manicured lawns, lush greenery, colourful azaleas everywhere although I did see the occasional patch of dead Kudzo...
I too, will try to post photos within the next few days. Barb???..are you out there..I may need your help. Till next time...keep your brushes wet. Sue B.

I met so many great people and had another fun road trip with Deri. We seem to be able to fit 18 hours of conversation in no problem at all. So many talented people to meet and so much to learn in a couple of days. It's always great to meet the people from letterville. It was great meeting Judy, Bobby, Sue, Ryan, and Sonny.I'm so glad to have met Mace, Joebuck,Rodney,Igor and there are a few I can't remember their names .Artie, Zeke and Shotz get an honerable mention for putting up with us!
