Show was based loosely on the "Sons of Silence MC" out of Colorado Springs, Colo.
Knowing their ways, I'd bet good money that the serious old timers are PO'd, to say the least, over image TV show laid on them...these guys have been around since the early 50's, they act and ride like a club, not a gang...

We started watching the show, but we realized that once again, TV was making lovable caricatures out of ruthless thugs! Garbage in garbage out. When they started burning tattoos off peoples backs that was enough. Even worse is the show Breaking Bad. No idea why that show is on. I'm sure every crack head who still has a TV watches it.

There actually is a "Sons of Anarchy" MC. They claim to be a veterans 1% MC and have no connection with the show. Mustn't have much of an imagination though, as their "patch" is nearly identical to the idiot box bikers.

No Fan of the show. Like Dana, I tired watching it...but there are just some anti-heroes you can't empathize with. (Not that you wanted commentary on the group.)
If it helps their logo is kinda a bastardized Boston Truckstylish sorta thing.
