I had a guy come to me the other day that has an antique snowmobile. He wants to have a cover made for it to match the original cover. So he asked me if I have vinyl that I can cut out the graphics and iron on. So my question is, Is there anything out there like that? You gotta understand I don't get this request everyday, lol. Or is there someone here that could do it if I sent the vector to them? Thanks for any info.

There is iron-on flocking available. You cut it out on your plotter and iron or heat-press onto fabric. I think it was made for putting names and numbers on athletic uniforms. Gerber used to sell this...don't know if they still do.
Also, Fellers offers a polyurethane product called FIBRON, for heat transfer. You might want to contact them for more info. Be sure and ask them how well it holds up outdoors; and I think it says it won't work on nylon.
Just a tip....remember you cut this stuff in reverse. You don't want to waste it.

Chris, thanks for the links, but can you (or anybody) tell me if there's a distinction between heat transfer and iron on? I had a small piece of the transfer type, but it didn't work so well with an iron. The heat presses cost a bit, be nice to get around that. I did have the idea of getting a 1/4 inch thick (6mm?) piece of plate copper, along with a large electric stove burner element, and the adjustment switch. Put it all together, see if I could make it go. Problem is in knowing the temp. I think that's important.
