Color Management - Greatly improved over X4...can now export all objects as RGB so you'll get more punchy colors on your large media printers
Drawing scale - There is a new button that can be customized onto the toolbar that lets you change the drawing scale of the drawing on the fly....I intend to make a video on how to do this but my voice is very raspy today and I don't think it would make a good recording.
Color Palettes - includes the latest color palettes including the Roland Metallic palette.
Document Color Palette - Keep a collection of the colors used in the document, with the document. Works with process and spot colors too.
Color Eyedroppers - They are everywhere now and it makes it easier to sample and use color throughout the design.
Objects Docker (PHOTO-PAINT) - New UI that's easier to use, now holds groups within groups, and about 100 other things.
There are some 2000 vehicle templates, now with keywords on them so you'll more about them.
If you want to see some of the new stuff there is a youtube channel you can watch without having to download and install the build.

All the extras only come with the DVD's (which is the same as previous years)...the website currently has a deal that you can buy and download the software at $189 and for $10 you can add the DVD and Guidebook to your order and it will ship once the boxes are printed (sometime mid March).

Still crashes on one of my computers even after reboot. Also takes a while to load. The machine it crashes on is an AMD dual core with 2 gigs of ram, XP.

Did you restart the system after installing? I"ve heard a few folks have gremlins in their computer after installing and a reboot seems to fix them up.
Let me know, T.

Check the undo levels. reduce it to around 20 and the crashes will likely stop.

I'd just like to say that Coreldraw X5 is working great for me.... no problems whatsoever. And I like it a lot. I will be purchasing it before the trial runs out... it seems to me like the PowerTrace feature is even better than X4.

Tony, What is the policy on upgrades after a recent purchase? I bought X4 on Dec 31 after being tempted by email specials from Corel for weeks. Now bang, X5 is out. I had wanted to switch to Corel for my printing projects as it has more design features than Flexi, but I am having trouble getting the colors I want and am a little discouraged with it at the moment. I noticed you said X5 has better color management, hence my interest. I tried the number you gave but couldn't get through to anyone. Bad time of day maybe.

Hey David!
I asked for a bit more info but I see that request is buried in the thread...can you start a new thread with the issue and we'll jump into it there? T.

If the phone number is busy you could also try the live chat stuff on the website.
The color management stuff is big in X5 so I think I'll start another thread on it..just so folks know what's going on.
Stay tuned. T.

I want to personally thank Tony Severenuk and Corel for getting involved with their users here in Letterville. Doug Downey and myself have been using Corel since Version 2. I know thousands of our users own Corel, as well as other sign related software that just cannot see the rewards from an investment in advertising here in Letterville.
You do an excellant job representing Corel Tony. I don't know how to prove it, but I am certain that more sign shops visit this site daily than Sign Conventions. If other venders looked after their Letterville Booth in the same way they regard their show booths, finding and keeping advertisers would be a breeze.
