I know this is a dumb question, but does ANYONE have a Pass-thru blasting cabinet that they would like to sell? Know anybody that does??
I'm in Jacksonville, so I guess location is an issue, but let me know anyway.

Kelly,
If you cannot find one, fabricating one may be an option.

Here is one Joe Crumley built and is made with a steel frame, PVC Panels, Plex windows all removable,& the access is the catch all's used on the back of RV Campers and the side opens. I wont speak for Joe, but from what I know of him he would be helpful in any way needed.

If you were here I'd consider giving you mine with the condition that I could come use it one or two times a year. That's all I ever use it.

Sam, THAT is AWESOME....I had actually thought it could be "built" some way. My problem is I need it "Yesterday" and don't know anyone here that can build it...but you have provided yet another option for me and am so grateful for your reply. Its funny how everyone is whining about no work, but when you offer a job they run? I probably have enough scraps and materials to build this, just need to find someone to weld a frame maybe? Im gonna see if I hear from anyone else and if not....try this myself. Last year, was commissioned to do a carved glass piece, and charged what the POT cost me, now I have to produce another pretty quick. For that first piece I built a make-shift blasting room, but found it to be a little hard to reclaim my CS., and nasty, Half way through I burned up my compressor and was lucky enough to have my friend Carl, from Carl's Signs in Starke Fl. let me finish the job with his Pass-thru cabinet & comp. THAT is definitely the way to go!
Guess if worse comes to worse I could frame it with wood. I can handle a saw, and such myself.
......OH did I mention....also looking for a single man who wants to WORK as hard as me?
....I've already tried to build on of those, a couple of times, but...failed miserably. LOL

Rick...."Wish you were here"...or I was there!
I did that THAT with my shear and break when I had to move and had no place to put them. didn't want to sell them....YET.
Thanks Guys....you ALWAYS come through with answers for me.

If you are building the cabinet - make it a true pass through by providing wheels both inside and outside to slide the project thru the cabinet. Also use brush weather stripping to keep dust inside the cabinet when the blasted project passes through.

The cabinet I built years ago also has a 4' light on the back side to shine through mirrors when blasting the rear sides.

Good Luck,

I have one that sat in the corner for about a year after I bought it, got it hooked up and use it all the time for blasting stuff. Haven't put a sign through it yet though.
