Just got this email........

quote:
Chipley Garden Club has planted a tree on the grounds of NWFlorida Hospital and plans to add an identifying marker. There may be a standard size for this type marker. It needs some kind of metal stake(s) to anchor into the ground. Would you submit an estimate?

Crape Myrtle
Honoring
XXXXX XXXX
42 years Service to this Hospital
1959-2001
And continuing volunteer service
Planted 2009 - Chipley Garden Club

I could blast this out of marble or granite, but I think it would be overkill. What would you suggest?
Bronze Plaque?

If the trunk is large enough, why not carve it into the bark? Or is that too Old Fashion?

Wayne,

You can also sandblast a ten dollar Granite or Marble tile, glue that to a piece of scrap Aluminum and attach it to the background. I've done lots of really nice small signs that way. A dollar or two of Gold leaf really dresses them up.

Hey David,
That's a cool idead, thanks.

Bill, I checked with Lark Label,

I decided a bronze or stainless plaque from Gemini would be suitable to honor this deceased person, then sent the customer the following quote......

quote:
Hi Charlotte,
They come in various sizes.
Do you have an idea as to the size you want?
Would you like stainless steel or bronze?
Bronze costs a lttle more than stainless.

For instance...
A small 6" x 4" stainless would be $98
The same size in bronze would be $123
The stake would be $38 for 24"
and $45 for 36"
These are guaranteed for life.
Shipping would need to be added to the quotes above.

If you know the size you want, let me know and I'll get you a final quote.
Thanks
Wayne

This was her reply.......

quote:
Could this sign be made on a background with vinyl letters? Would that be possible or feasible with this much text? If so, at about what price?
Wow! What an "honor" [I Don t Know]
