The new quad-core computer came with Windows 7 64bit.
I'm amazed at how much faster Adobe CS4 Master Collection installed. I don't think it took more than 5 minutes. Under Vista Home Premium 32bit on a computer with just a dual-core took nearly a half hour to install.
For those who may not know, two version of Photoshop are installed at the same time - a 32bit version and a 64bit version
I downloaded the new AlienSkin EyeCandy 6 trial version and installed it. During the installation it only showed "Photoshop" as the only available program that EyeCandy could be installed but it didn't indicate which. I assumed that is was just the 32bit version. I started feeling disappointed at the prospect that EyeCandy6 wouldn't install the the 64bit version.
I opened Photoshop(32)and piddled with it. Its really amazing how much faster the rendering is inside of EyeCandy compared to previous versions.
Then I opened Photoshop(64) and to my surprise, there was the EyeCandy6 filters ready to go. Apparently AlienSkin had enough forethought to make their new plug-in automatically install into both versions.
I also assumed that since neither CorelDraw nor CorelPhoto Paint showed up in the list of available programs during the EyeCandy install, that they were incompatible. I'm glad to report I was wrong. EyeCandy6 does work inside of CorelPhoto Paint, but that I had to install it manually, by going to "Tools/Options/Plug-ins" and point it to the EyeCandy folder in the Adobe Photoshop plug-in folder. It works like a charm.

Glad it worked Glenn... I thought it would. If you run across something that doesn't... you can 'right-click' on the application and then click 'run in xp mode' and that might fix it up for you.

Hey Glenn, and Todd, and you other CS4 guys.. I haven't been past CS2 yet, so I'm just wondering. Have any of you guys saved a multi "artboard" file in Illy as a multi-page PDF? How does it work with different size artboards in one file? Is it pretty much the same as a Multi-Page CorelDRAW file?
