(So . . . this is'nt a 'Dixie' meet? . . . just 'palmetto' cuz' that's a suthern thang? I wanna have a kudzu meet . . .
ANYWAY Donald! I know this will be SO much fun! It's definitely high on my priorities list . . . but work has been slow, so I can say nothing definite here . . . but . . . if I can keep all my plates spinning and do some major extra juggling on the side . . . gee . . . if I could actually do that a lotta people would pay big bucks to see that, ey? lol
Hey also Donald . . . are you familiar with Mossburg Sign Products in Chesnee?? I hope I did'nt overstep some kind of boundary by telling them all about your meet! They are really GREAT folks over there and do great work! I would love to see them get involved in Letterville!

I know Lee at Mossburg. I have used them myself in the pass to do some digital printing before I got my machine. Tell anyone you want. I guess this is the Dixie meet, but titled Palmetto Pintriping because SC is the palmetto state. It is definitely not just for pinstripers though. My meets are always for anyone and everyone. I hope you can make it.

Sandy I live about 12 miles from I-79 if you wanna stop in. I won't be able to make this one, I will have too much catching up to do from being off work 3 weeks. But a lot of my most favorite people will be there! Donald's Dixie meet was a blast, I can assume the Palmetto one will be great too. Love....Jill

Almost hate to deliver this news, all alleged plans are off...conflicting dates w/all ready booked event, I was hoping they were the week before or after, not the case, same damn weekend and if it wasn't mandatory, I'd cancel and come to S.C. Also too much money to walk away from, let's put it this way, I could do your event twice for amount we're talking here, so it's w/lower lop protruding that I deliver this news...again, sorry, sure wish I could make it...

Another time it will be Bobbie...w/my new job, traveling will be a huge part of it...come this time next year, I'll be in a better position to attend those meets that I've missed these last 4 years...my publisher is very progressive and understands the value of live meets and their readership's wants and desires...
Live meets supply a portion of that thirst...articles derived from being there will also go a long ways in satisfying these needs too, so I'm ready and the rest of this year is a preamble to better coverage and lots more quality articles and features...
Looking forward to my baptism and next years offerings, of course Palmetto meet is a mandatory function that is on the calendar already to attend, so maybe somehow it will make up for not attending this year, but could Donald maybe put the party on hold and when the next one rolls along, hit play? lol
By then I pray your health problems are in check, believe me, I know about the rigors of poor health and the load it puts on the mind and body, but more than anything, it's frustrating and downright life sucking...so keep the faith and never give up, even if your losing, the good Lord loves a fighter...

We may be having a "Traveling Omelettier" on the premises also. Those who have been befre may know who I'm talking about. An incredible treat if possible.

Anyone coming or interested in helping, we will have a silent auction at the meet to raise money and awareness for Artists4Africa,a non-profit organization that builds wells in Africa. If anyone would like to bring or send a panel to be auctioned off it would be greatly appreciated. Anything not sold will be put on the website: www.artists4africa.net to be sold there.

Okay- I have been asking people around here and nobody seems to know- what exactly are grits? And on a scale of 1 to 10 how healthy are they? (Before I order a heaping plate full of these little devils when I get down there.)

They are the little white things in corn kernels. They are benign by themselves, but are usually prepared in lots of salt, butter, grease or gravy.

Shrimp n' Grits is a specialty at lowcountry restaurants in South Carolina - I like mine with cheese. They're okay, not to worry - but if your fellow Canuck crazy Rodger tries to talk you into chitlins, BACK OFF QUICK
Don't worry, we'll turn you into a Waffle House regular before you leave......

Personal opinion... the grits are a lot easier to gag down than the boiled peanuts. Make sure they identify the source of the meat in the big pan of sauce (check for road kill on the drive to the meet)LOL! Really nice folks, they just eat unusual stuff. Wish we could have made this meet. Donald and crew are great hosts.

Bob, we have acquired taste so we love boiled peanuts! We grew up eating them so they are very tasty to us. Ozzie's love them too..yall just need to eat a few more boiled peanuts & then you will grow to love them as we do! Donald, we are still planning on being there next weekend. Roger had a nuclear stress test last week and got news on Tuesday that he has another blockage. He is scheduled for another stent to be implanted Monday at 11 AM. Keep us in your thoughts & prayers. If all goes well we will be there. Looking forward to seeing everybody!
