Long story short.
We have a Mutoh Falcon, prints beautifully, we paid retail but it's paid for itself 10 times over, bought the $2,500 a year warrantee and had to have a tech visit at least once a year, sometimes twice. The techs were always secretive about what they were doing, wouldn't discuss the problem, showed us nothing. Ok... so that's how they keep making a living. So be it.

Three years later we're really frustrated with the delays in the tech's arrival and call Mutoh once again. This time all I wanted to do was pointlessly holler at the blue sky. So this young lady answers and routs me to exactly the wrong extension.

"Ted here. Whats up? A Falcon? They won't talk to you? No big deal. I'll send an eamil with an attatchment. Download it fast because it will self delete in 30 minutes."
Whoa! And he did it! I downloaded an entire (unavailable) manual in 25 minutes.... big manual. Now we change our own stations and relplace parts for 1/5th of what we were paying Mutoh for the parts.

So we're boogieing, but........ A problem began this year that we'd been reading about on the net. Midway through a print the system simply stops. No prompt, nothing. Just dead silence. I go online and find a plethora of similar complaints and all say that Mutoh won't talk to them other than "call a service rep". For $2,500.00??: Right. So I go back online, and literally 6.5 hours later I found an obscure (to me) link with a downloadable "how-to" with photos! And I have it here.

If you have Mutoh that dies midway through a 40' print, (don't ask) just email us and I'll send the attatchment. Mutoh may not want to tell you, but I will, and its easily adjustable by you.

We don't have an easy way to make the service manual, but if you want to pay the local print shop to reproduce it, you can have that too.
