Thanks to Lori Wilcox for her suggestion "The Tipsy Gypsy" for this challenge. If you wish to come up with your own name that is acceptable too.
I'm going to leave this one wide open as far as submissions. I highly encourage both hand drawn sketches and computer renderings.
The rules for the challenge are:
1. No pre-existing signs 2. Keep it non-offensive & politically correct please 3. Have fun with it and let your imaginations run wild 4. Deadline for entries will be determined at a later date depending on interest and participation. 5. I reserve the right to add rules as I see fit.

Thanks for sharing that Cat, but I'm afraid it falls under the realm of "preexisting", unless you whipped it up real fast.

Hi Dale, Sorry, I should have been more explicit. It's for a design, but by all means if you want to recreate it as a shop sample or to try out some new materials or techniques, all the better.

Well I couldn't resist the name Typsy Gypsy...
This is the first drawing I did on my new iMac and CS4.
I kinda overdid the old gypsy lady (she looks more like an old native lady.) but I think the idea has some potential. It would make a great 3D sign with all the textures and some tweaking. It would certainly be fun to create. I'd route the oval and then hand sculpt and paint the rest. Gilded lettering and jewelry of course.

Thanks Dan and Tim, She's a tough looking old gal, Dan. I wonder if she'd soften up after you had a few drinks. Great character in a style we have all come to recognize as yours. I like your take on it, Tim. I think I'd like the name on a wider panel with a little more distinction between it and the border, so it was more dominant. Great colours and style. I'm looking forward to see what you come up with Lori.
