We have a Mimaki CG-130LX vinyl plotter here at the shop that has gone on the fritz. It's an older machine, so we're having issues tracking dow replacement parts. What I need is the sensor that detects the width of the material. Part # E400198.
Does anyone by chance have a spare part laying around from an old machine, or have a contact where I can source one? ND Graphics is a no go, tried them already.
Does anyone have a work around that I can do to bypass the need to sense the width of material?
Any help would be great. We're cutting all our vinyl on our tiny Gerber rubber cutter.... tedious at best.
Thanks.

Where is the sensor and what kind is it? is it an electric eye(small hole) on the base of the cutter or is it a tab on the pinch wheel carriage that tells the mainboard the position of the pinch wheel on the traverse bar for the cutting head? Are you capable of taking the plotter apart and shorting either of those two type devices? and then reassembling it? It may very well be simple electronic component that can be replaced at almost any electronic supply house but a real long drawn out pain in the rump to take the plotter apart and replace. I've seen folks clean the offending sensor switch with cotten swabs and alchohol and their problems go away,....
